Bidding in to the UK

Bidding into the UK is governed by EU regulations. Companies bidding in to the UK from abroad must adhere to them or face disqualification.

The UK is governed by a range of EU procurement directives and regulations that must be adhered to when public bodies and utilities want to purchase services or supplies. The overarching directive is the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 which significantly amends The Public Contracts Regulations 2006 and The Utilities Contracts Directive 2006.

The regulations dictate what a purchasing organisation must do to comply with the law. However there are various other practises that govern what a bidding organisation can put into the EOI, PQQ, ITT or BAFO and these depend on the type of procurement.

The Bid Team provides a service to companies from outside the UK wishing to tender for contracts governed by the regulations. We can provide advice and guidance on the rules, regulations and compliance requirements or we can provide a complete bid service for the procurement. In either case we can help navigate through the difficulties and translate the rules into simple English.
