The Bid Team is dedicated to ensuring that your privacy is protected and as such we are registered for the purposes of Data Protection, registration number ZA003796. This statement explains the privacy practices of The Bid Team, and may change from time to time so please check back periodically. Whilst The Bid Team is committed to this privacy policy you may find that only parts of it relate to you depending on what matter you are dealing with The Bid Team on.

What information is collected about me by The Bid Team and how?

The Bid Team collects information about you for the purposes of project management, statistical and marketing analysis/surveys, administration and legal purposes, client references, and to help us in any future dealings with you, for example by identifying your requirements and preferences and to advise you of other services offered by The Bid Team and those of selected third parties. The information that you provide to us will be held in our systems or those of our suppliers. We collect the personal data that you may volunteer while using our services through the use of enquiry, registration and booking forms, submission of CVs and every time you email us your details.

Candidate information (including CV submission)

Your CV will usually contain personally identifiable information such as your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, current and past work details (i.e. your employment history). The Bid Team will also obtain information about you when we take references from those past employers or clients whom you have indicated on your CV may be contacted. We may also be required to take other references before forwarding your details for any potential vacancy to one of our clients. You acknowledge and confirm that such references may include The Bid Team being provided with details of any unspent criminal convictions or other similar information.

The Bid Team may also collect information from third party suppliers. The Bid Team will only collect CVs from third party suppliers where those individuals to which the information relates are given the opportunity to expressly consent to their CV being searchable by The Bid Team. Whilst The Bid Team will only collect CV’s from third party suppliers, The Bid Team cannot be liable for their respective privacy policies and/or their terms and conditions of use. The Bid Team will always act in a lawful and professional manner; therefore, The Bid Team will cease to trade with any third party supplier that is reasonably believed not to be acting in accordance with the fundamental principles of the Data Protection Act.

The Bid Team may, in certain instances, also obtain information as a result of an acquisition, merger or take-over.

We may analyse your CV and any other information, collected in accordance with this Privacy Policy (e.g. via telephone updates), to determine your qualifications and abilities in order to match your details with suitable recruiting organisations. Once our recruiters have quantified and qualified the requirements of our clients, they may perform database searches based on your key data, including but not limited to: location, skills, experience, availability date and salary/hourly rate requirements.

The Bid Team will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information to any recruiting organisation without your express permission. The Bid Team conducts its business with honesty and integrity and these principles are communicated to, understood and observed by all The Bid Team staff. The Bid Team undertakes that it will not share your personal career details with any third party other than in accordance with this policy.

In order for The Bid Team to maximise its marketing of you and to help us find a vacancy which matches your requirements we need your help to ensure that the data we hold about you is as accurate and up-to-date as possible. Accordingly we ask that you keep The Bid Team informed of any changes to your details on a regular basis.
