The Ministry of Defence is launching a framework for the provision of a software package and information systems in Bristol. The value of this framework is £4.62 million.

Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) is a bespoke trading entity, and arm’s length body of the Ministry of Defence. It manages a vast range of complex projects to buy and support all the equipment and services that the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force need to operate effectively. DE&S works closely with industry, including through partnering agreements and private finance initiatives.

This contract notice is divided in 2 Lots. bidders for Lot 1 and Lot 2 should bid for one or other or both. DE&S would encourage bids for both Lot 1 and Lot 2 with collaboration/teaming between suppliers. The lots are as follows:

• Lot 1: Infrastructure as a Service + Platform as a Service Support
• Lot 2: Application Support

The duration of this framework is two years.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is 31 January.
