The London Borough of Havering are inviting suitably qualified companies to register interest in the contract. This contract is valued at £260 million.

They are looking for a company to provide waste collection and recycling services, street cleansing services, grounds maintenance services and winter maintenance services. This procurement is seeking to deliver the following key strategic outcomes:

• • The contractor delivers public realm services which make Havering cleaner, safer, prouder, together.
  • The Contract delivers maximum value for money for the cost of the service and achieves the Authority’s outcome of maintaining and enhancing its financial position.
  • The parties work together and share their respective responsibilities to implement the waste hierarchy. The contractor delivers solutions to help the Authority continuously reduce waste and increase the recycling and composting performance. Key performance indicators (KPIs) are set to monitor and report performance.
  • Technological change is embraced throughout the Contract and opportunities offered by rapid technological advancements are harnessed.
   

The duration of this contract is for 8 years with the potential to extend by another 8 years.
