Government body seeking legal services valued at £70m in the new year

The Minister for the Cabinet Office is acting through Crown Commercial Services (CCS) to find a provider for legal services. The framework is national and valued at £70 million.

 

CCS, acting as the authority, intends to put in place an agreement for the provision of legal services relating to international trade. The services are to be utilised by UK Central Government Departments and their associated bodies. Some key areas covered by this framework are:

  • compliance with the law of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and trade agreements
  • advice and services relating to the negotiation and implementation of trade agreements
  • the conduct of disputes under WTO and trade agreement dispute mechanisms.

The lotting structure of this framework will be determined as a result of the market engagement.

 

The estimated date of the publication of the contract notice is 25 May 2020.
