Highways England looking for bidders on a facilities management framework worth £240m

Highways England have opened bidding on a framework to supply bridge inspection services in Bristol. This dynamic purchasing system is valued at £240 million.

 

The successful tenderer will be required to provide specialist bridge inspections, routine, and cyclic maintenance and defect rectification in accordance with the Highways England standards and objectives when instructed by Highways England. There will also be responsibility for some renewal and improvement works including design and taking on the role of principal designer when instructed by Highways England.

 

Additional duties will include: provision of traffic management for the contractor’s maintenance activities where instructed by Highways England; and the facilities maintenance of depots associated with the bridges.

 

The duration of this contract is 15 years.
