Network Rail announce £4billion procurement as part of CP6

Network Rail have announced a procurement for the delivery of multi-disciplinary works across Western and Wales worth £4b as part of CP6.

 

The framework is intended to cover works to all categories of railway assets including renewals of power, signalling, telecommunications and track works, and the duration has been set at 96 months (eight years).

 

The scope of the procurement will also include design works.

 

Network Rail have said they will appoint 17 providers for the framework.

 

Tenders may be submitted for up to five lots, which will also be the maximum amount awarded to a single tenderer.

 

Proposed work will be primarily repair, refurbishment and life extensions. Requirements for the contract also include assisting Network Rail in developing projects and ensuring access is in place prior to contracting.

 

The framework is divided into six lots, four covering Wales and two covering Western routes.

 

  • Lot 1 – Western (£4m-£30m)
  • Lot 2 – Western (£0-£4m)
  • Lot 3 – Wales – Civils
  • Lot 4 – Wales – Metallic Structures
  • Lot 5 – Wales – SP&C and E&P
  • Lot 6 – Wales – Geotechnical

 

The deadline for requests to participate is Friday (5th October) and invitations to tender dispatched by the following Monday (8th October).
