New generation of construction and civil engineering framework worth £500m

Hampshire County Council is initiating a new generation of construction frameworks named Civil Engineering and Transportation Collaborative Framework 2020-2024. The estimated value of this framework is £500,000,000.

 

This framework is for the procurement and delivery of civil engineering, transportation and infrastructure development-related construction work packages between a value of £50,000 and £10,000,000, with an up to £250,000 per call-off threshold for early contractor involvement (ECI) call-offs.

 

The framework will cover the South of England and is split into 2 Lots:

  • Lot 1 – Hampshire and the South East of England
  • Lot 2 – The South West of England

The framework agreement will operate with a maximum of 8 suppliers per lot.

 

The work within the framework is likely to include:

  • civil engineering works
  • work on new/reconstructed/replacement highway structures
  • footway maintenance and improvement work
  • carriageway construction and surfacing
  • kerbing and paving installation
  • drainage and ducting installation
  • installation of vehicle restraint systems
  • soft landscaping and vegetation clearance
  • earthworks and embankment stabilisation
  • car park reconstruction and surfacing
  • traffic management and traffic management design and system installation
  • rail infrastructure works
  • airport works
  • sea defence and coastal works
  • flood defence works
  • construction of waste service facilities
 

This framework shall operate for 4 years from April 2020.

 

The deadline for receipts of tenders and requests to participate is 23 September 2019.
