Rail and Engineering framework worth £250m open for bidding soon

Network Rail have released a prior information notice for a engineering framework valued at £250 million.

 

The service required is for structural engineering consultancy services and is called the civils examination framework agreement contract. It is aimed at improving compliance and safety through technology innovations led by the supplier and increased NR attractiveness. The aims of the framework is as follows:

  • effective examination planning, inclusive of examination enabling works,
  • gathering defect data in a structured form and delivered through an intuitive open source deliverable,
  • recommendations that are aligned to Network Rail’s business objectives (policy),
  • supplier led integration of existing and new technologies,
  • incentivisation of performance, with a focus on timely quality delivery,
  • putting passengers first.

The framework is split into three lots:

  • Lot 1: Structures
  • Lot 2: Geotechnical
  • Lot 3: Buildings

The estimated date of publication of the contract notice is 07 February 2020.
