Weapons provider required by Met Police for £10m framework

The Metropolitan Police Service is seeking a provider for a weapons, ammunition and associated parts framework. this contract is worth £10 million.

 

They are looking for the supply and delivery of operational ammunition. The ammunition will be available to other Police Forces and Law Enforcement agencies (‘Participating Bodies’) who are entitled to call-off from the framework agreement. Call-off agreements will be permitted for a maximum of 4 years and may be taken out at any point during the framework term. For the avoidance of doubt a call-off may be in force up to 2 years post the framework agreement expiry date (subject to them being put in place in good time prior to expiry). The framework is divided into the following lots:

Lot 1: Operational Ammunition 7,62 x 35 mm (300 Blackout) Supersonic

Lot 2: Operational Ammunition 5,56 mm x 45 mm

Lot 3: Operational Ammunition 7,62 mm x 35 mm (300 BlackOut) Subsonic

Lot 4: Operational Ammunition 9 mm x 19 mm

The duration of the framework is two years.

 

The deadline for the receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 24 March and the estimated date of dispatch of invitations to tender or to participate to selected candidates is 29 April.
