Yorkshire Water (YW) have released a contract notice for a five-year, £290m civil works framework.
They are looking to establish a dual-lot, multi-supplier framework to service the business requirement for civil works across the YW estate covering all civil engineering-based activity which would not be completed by Tier 1 partners.
It is the second of two civil works frameworks adding up to £1billion as part of the AMP7 spending period due to begin in 2020. The first – the largest of the two – is worth £750m.
The contract is divided into two lots:
Lot 1 (£250m) – Minor civil and building works
This includes, but is not limited to, drainage pipe works, roads, pavements, earthworks and the demolition and removal of existing small structures.
Lot 2 (£40m) – Specialist activities for water retaining structures
This lot aims to cover repairs to joints, leaks, concrete and brickwork along with establishing site facilities and installing covers.
Requests to participate in bidding for the framework must be submitted by 10th September, with invitations to tender to be sent out a week later.
