Air-traffic control training contract worth £5m open for bidding

8th November 2019

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) are looking for a provider for an air-traffic control framework in Walters Ash. This contract is valued at £5 million.

The MoD requires an approved training organisation to train up to 15 air traffic controllers per Financial Year. In order to meet operational requirements, the contractor will train trainees using the joint air traffic control course number 1001 modular course material. This is to achieve the training standard set by the MoD. This training does not need civil aviation authority approval. However, they are looking to achieve a near equivalent military skills test standard at the School of Air and Operations Control.

The duration of the contract is 5 years.

The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 06 December.
