Gas distribution framework in Scotland worth £207.6m open for bidding

Scotland Gas Networks plc (ScGN) are seeking a provider for a gas distribution ancillary work framework valued at £207.6 million.

 

ScGN is seeking experienced suppliers to assist the network with the delivery of a range of regulatory outputs. The main activity will be the policy abandonment of underground cast iron gas mains and associated steel service pipes and risers (up to 6 storeys) across Scotland Network. This will be replaced with polyethylene pipework. The mains are located in predominantly urban locations including Edinburgh, Glasgow and most major cities and towns. The framework is divided into the following lots:

  • Lot 1: North – all Areas North of the River Forth
  • Lot 2: East – Lothians, Edinburgh city and Stirlingshire
  • Lot 3: Central – Glasgow and Lanarkshire
  • Lot 4: West – Western Scotland, Renfrewshire and Dunbartonshire
  • Lot 5: South – Borders, Teviotdale and Dumfries and Galloway

The works will take place predominantly over the period 2021 to 2026 with optional extensions of 2 x of up to 12 months.

 

The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 29 November.
