Environmental Agency release contract notice for £220million framework

The Environmental Agency (EA) have gone to market with a four-year, £220million Marine and Coastal Works framework.

 

EA is seeking marine and coastal suppliers to provide or arrange for the provision of services to deliver a programme of capital investment and improvement works for marine and coastal flood risk management defence assets.

 

They require a solution that ensures sustainability is embedded into all aspects of the services provided.

 

The framework is divided into two lots. The first is Major Marine and Coastal works with project values between £5m and £50m. The second lot is General Marine and Coastal works and covers project values under £5m.

 

Tenders may be submitted for both lots and may be awarded to a single tenderer.

 

 

Lot 1 – Major Marine and Coastal works (£185m)

 

This lot includes, but will not be limited to, asset replacement, design and consultancy services, project management and construction engineering works.

 

It is envisaged that there will be five candidates invited to bid for this lot.

 

Lot 2 – General Marine and Coastal work (£35m)

 

The scope for this lot is similar to the works require for the lot one. However, it only covers projects totalling under £5m.

 

It is envisaged that there will be eight candidates invited to bid for this lot.

 

EA also have the option to require the contractor to provide and deliver operation and maintenance services for the marine and coastal assets falling within the EA programme.

 

The deadline for sending requests to participate has been set at 5pm on 21st September.

 

Invitations to tender will be sent out on the week commencing 5th November.
