National framework for driving-test services worth up to £71.3m open for bidding

The Secretary of State for Transport are looking for a provider for a national framework. This framework is for the provision of driving-test services and is worth between £43.5-£71.8 million.

 

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), an executive agency of the Department for Transport, is looking to appoint 3 suppliers for the provision of regional Test Centre Network (TCN) services across Great Britain and Northern Ireland. this service is part of the Future Theory Test Service (FTTS). The TCN Service includes the provision of test centre estate, trained invigilators to administer test delivery and appropriate technology through which to deliver the test. The TCN is packaged into 3 regional lots:

  • Lot 1: Scotland, Northern Ireland, North West, North East, Yorkshire and Humberside
  • Lot 2: Wales, West Midlands, South West, South East
  • Lot 3: East Midlands, East of England and London

he contract is for an implementation period followed by 5 years and renewal options of up to 24 months.

 

The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 10 December.
